Intimate Apparel

"Intimate Apparel" is a play about Esther, a 35-year-old African American seamstress in 1905 New York City. She creates lingerie and dreams of love, marriage, and opening her own beauty salon. Esther exchanges letters with George, a Caribbean laborer working on the Panama Canal, with the help of one of her clients.
